TOKOYO: The Tower of Perpetuity is a 2D action game that takes place in an auto-generated dungeon called the Tower of Perpetuity, which changes every 24 hours. The game is set in Tokoyo, where players must fight their way through the dungeon while competing against other players around the world. The game offers various branches, providing free choice and randomization, and features different traps and gimmicks that change daily.

The game offers light social elements, where players can race to the top of the tower and aim to top the daily rankings chart. The rankings are shared between Steam and Nintendo Switch players, allowing for global competition. The game also features social features utilizing the network, where a gravestone will be placed where a player meets their end, appearing in other players’ games along with their “relics” and “last words”. The game offers 5 original playable characters, with official custom characters available for players to control. Players can also customize skins for their characters.
